Green Team Solutions is looking for a proficient and organized team member to assist with human resource processes and general administrative duties. Must be passionate about providing a safe and inclusive workplace for team members.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain filing and record keeping systems

  • Support Directors in the application of Human Resource policies and best practices, providing guidance and advice as appropriate

  • Firm knowledge of employment legislation including the BC Employment Standards Act, BC Human Rights Code, and Workers Compensation Act

  • Knowledge and commitment to local traditional Indigenous laws of the land 

  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements pertaining to the cannabis industry and the day-to-day management of employees, ensuring compliance

  • Successfully pass an entry level exam regarding Health Canada Regulations and Good Production Practices

  • Complete and process documentation related to employees onboarding, training and learning, payroll, benefits administration, performance evaluation and employment exit, updating employee files as necessary 

  • Provide materials and employee packages, and initiate requests for information when required

  • Support health & safety initiatives by tracking and coordinating training required and scheduling regular JHSC meetings to ensure issues are raised and addressed

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and boardroom bookings as required

  • Maintain databases, records, confidential files and other related information; enter, edit and retrieve data

  • Submit print requests, prepare pamphlets, flyers, manuals and handbooks as needed

  • Collaborate on cultural initiatives ensuring consistency of messaging and organizational community

  • Other duties as assigned by Directors

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Team Spirit

  • Proficient in all office equipment, data entry, filing and record keeping systems and software applications

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; skilled at managing various tasks simultaneously

  • Knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices pertaining to the human resource field

  • Knowledge of health & safety, human rights and employment standards legislation

  • Ability to use sound judgment when dealing with sensitive situations and confidential information

  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping principles

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) coupled with strong interpersonal skills; professionalism, and an ability to work with a variety of personalities in a dynamic environment

  • Valid driver's license and vehicle mandatory; travel required

  • Knowledge of cannabis plant anatomy and strains, and a willingness to learn more

  • Problem solver and solutions oriented, with strong conflict resolution skills, tactful and diplomatic

  • Proactive mindset and ability to self-motivate and direct

  • Proficient and accurate documentation and record keeping ability

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Energy and intention to your role

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years in Human Resource Coordination, Administrative or office coordination role; combination of training and experience will be considered

  • Experience working with confidential data and administering benefits and employee related information

  • Experience with HR software implementation (HRIS, ATS, etc.) and payroll systems

  • Experience with research and reporting

  • Exceptional experience with MS office and google docs

  • Experience with Foreign Worker programs considered an asset

  • First Aid, WHMIS considered an asset
